Best Pet Health Tracker Apps in 2026, Compared

By the Pettify Team · Published

Prices and ratings checked on 17 Oct 2026, US App Store

Pettify is our app. Here is how we compared.

We make Pettify, so we have a stake in this page. To keep it fair, we used only what each developer publishes in the US App Store and on its own website, listed the apps in alphabetical order instead of ranking them, and put Pettify’s weak points in the same table as everyone else’s.

There is no single best pet health tracker: the right one depends on your phone, your pet and whether you need a free app, a potty log or a report for the vet. Here are eight apps side by side, with their prices, ratings and the features each developer says its app has.

Quick picks

Labels, not a ranking. Each one points to the app whose published features fit that need best, in our judgement.

A new puppy and potty training

    DogLog

Its App Store description is written for puppy owners: potty schedule, training and vaccination reminders, shared with everyone who looks after the dog.

How we compared

We checked every app on 17 Oct 2026. Prices, in-app purchases, ratings, the date of the latest version and the number of languages come from each app’s page in the US App Store. Prices are in US dollars and may differ in other countries. Features come from the App Store description and the developer’s own website, and Android availability from the app’s Google Play listing. Each app’s card links to these sources.

We did not install these apps. Features are as stated in each app’s App Store description or website on 17 Oct 2026. “Not stated” means we did not find a feature there; the app may still have it. “No” appears only in the Pettify column, because we know our own app (version 1.2.0, the release with the pee and poop log).

To choose the apps, we searched the US App Store for “pet health tracker”, “dog health tracker”, “pet vaccination tracker”, “pet medication reminder” and “pet medical records”, and picked seven independent trackers that came up, plus Pettify. Apps that work through your vet clinic are listed separately. This is not every app in the category: if we missed one you use, tell us.

The apps are listed alphabetically, and there is no overall score. The “best for” labels are our judgement, based on what each developer publishes. We drafted this page with AI assistance from the sources linked in each card and checked every price, rating and feature against those sources.

Looking for Pettify on Google Play? The app called “Pettify-Buy Pets & Accessories” there is made by another company and is not ours.

If your vet clinic uses an app

Some clinics send reminders and records through an app of their own. These apps are free, but much of what they do depends on your clinic taking part, so they are not in the table.

Which one should you choose?

  • You or someone in your family uses Android

DogNote, DogLog, DogCat, AllTails Care, 11pets, and GreatPetCare. Petfetti and Pettify work only on Apple devices.

  • You are house-training a puppy

DogLog, Petfetti, DogNote, and DogCat. These four mention a pee and poop log in their App Store descriptions. Pettify has one too.

  • Your pet has a chronic condition you track every day

    Petfetti.

  • You do not want to pay

DogCat and GreatPetCare. AllTails Care is also free for one person and one pet.

  • You keep birds, reptiles or other small animals

    AllTails Care and DogCat.

  • Your clinic uses PetDesk or VitusVet

PetDesk and VitusVet. Start with your clinic’s app; it is free.

  • You use only Apple devices and want a care plan from breed and age, an AI assistant and a vet report with lab results inside

    Pettify. This is our app.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best pet health tracker app?

It depends on what you need. For a new puppy and potty training, look at DogLog. For a pet with a chronic condition, Petfetti. For a family with iPhones and Android phones, DogNote. For no subscription, DogCat or GreatPetCare. For a care plan by breed and age on Apple devices, Pettify, which is our app. The table shows where each fact comes from.

Is there a free pet health tracker app?

Yes. GreatPetCare lists no in-app purchases in the App Store, and DogCat says most of its features are free, with ads. Petfetti, AllTails Care and 11pets have free versions with limits. Pettify has no free version: it costs $4.99 a month, or $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial.

Which pet health apps work on Android?

AllTails Care, DogCat, DogLog, DogNote, 11pets and GreatPetCare are on Google Play. Petfetti and Pettify work only on Apple devices.

On Google Play, an app called “Pettify-Buy Pets & Accessories” is made by another company. It is not our app.

Can I share my pet’s health records with my vet?

Most of these apps say you can. Petfetti and DogNote make PDF reports, DogLog exports data, 11pets and GreatPetCare share records, and Pettify’s PDF report prints attached lab results and scans inside. If your clinic uses PetDesk or VitusVet, reminders and records can come from the clinic itself.

What does “Not stated” mean in the table?

We did not find that feature in the app’s App Store description or on its website on 17 Oct 2026. The app may still have it. We did not install the apps, so we only report what their developers publish. If you know an app has a feature we missed, write to [email protected].

Why does Pettify compare itself with other apps?

Because we make Pettify and people ask how it compares. We say so at the top, list the apps alphabetically instead of ranking them, and show Pettify’s weak points in the same table: Apple devices only, 3 ratings, no free version, no Apple Watch app and no link with vet clinics.

Changes and corrections

  • : First version. Prices, ratings and features checked in the US App Store, on Google Play and on each developer’s website.
  • : Pettify: its pee and poop log also works with Siri.
  • : Rechecked every price, rating and feature in the US App Store, on Google Play and on each developer’s website. Changed: DogLog now has 1,368 ratings and Petfetti 31; nothing else.

Found a mistake, or has a price or feature changed? Email [email protected] and we will check it and update this page. We recheck the whole page every three months.
