Pet Care Plan App: a Care Schedule by Breed and Age

Pettify turns your dog’s or cat’s breed and birth date into a care plan: today’s tasks first, then the next 30 days, from the daily walk to the yearly vaccine. Every task says why it matters, how to do it and where the advice comes from, and you change the schedule to fit your home.

What the care plan looks like

  • Pettify app - Care Plan of a Labrador Retriever with today’s tasks and the next 30 days

    Today first

The plan opens with today’s tasks and their times, then the next 30 days. The breed, life stage, size, coat and activity level sit on top.

  • Pettify app - Tooth brushing task with why, how, its source and a Mark as done button

    Why, how and the source

Each task explains why it matters and how to do it, and names its source, here the AAHA dental guidelines.

  • Pettify app - Care Plan progress with 118 of 136 tasks done in the last 30 days

    How the month went

Progress shows how many tasks were done in the last 30 days, the best streak and what is going well.

How it works

  1. Start with the breed

Pick the breed and the birth date, then answer a few questions about coat, neutering and time outdoors. The plan updates as soon as you answer.

  2. See what today needs

Today’s tasks come first, then the next 30 days. Tick a task off when it’s done, or turn on its reminder so you don’t have to keep it in your head.

  3. Make it yours

Change how often and when, switch tasks off and add your own. When your puppy grows up, the plan updates and tells you.

What you get

  • 138 breed profiles

88 dog and 50 cat breeds, mixed breeds included. Breed names appear in your language, the way national kennel and cat clubs write them.

  • Advice with a source

Tasks come from published veterinary guidelines and breed references: AAHA, AAFP, WSAVA, CAPC, the American Kennel Club, the Royal Kennel Club, VCA Animal Hospitals and Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Each task names its source.

  • A schedule that fits your week

Each task can come once a day, two or three times a day, three times a week, every week or two, every one, three or six months, once a year, or every so many days. Set the times you actually do it.

  • Progress, not guilt

Progress shows how the last 30 days went: tasks done, your best streak and what is going well, with a tip when essential tasks still have no reminder.

  • Shared and printable

Everyone you share the pet with sees the same plan, and a task ticked off on one phone goes quiet on the others. The PDF report for the vet includes the care plan.

What the care plan doesn’t do

Better to know before you download:

  • It doesn’t replace your vet

The plan is general guidance from published sources. It doesn’t diagnose, pick vaccines or parasite products for your pet or adjust to a health condition. Those decisions stay with your vet.

  • Dogs and cats only

Breed profiles cover dogs and cats. You can add a rabbit, a bird or another pet to Pettify, but it gets no care plan.

  • No portion sizes

The feeding task tells you when to feed and to weigh the daily portion. It doesn’t work out how much your pet should eat: follow the food label or your vet.

  • Reminders need notifications on

A reminder is a notification on your device. If notifications for Pettify are turned off in Settings, it won’t appear.

  • Apple devices only

Pettify runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later, on Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later, and on Apple Vision Pro. There is no Android app and no web version.

What it costs

The download is free, the app is not. Pettify runs on a Pettify Premium subscription: $4.99 a month, or $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial first. There is no free tier. You can cancel anytime in your App Store settings. Prices are for the US App Store and may differ in your country.

Questions about the care plan

Which breeds are covered?

138 breed profiles: 88 dog and 50 cat breeds, mixed breeds included. Breed names, coat colors and vaccine names appear in your language, the way national kennel and cat clubs write them.

Where do the recommendations come from?

From published veterinary guidelines and breed references such as AAHA, WSAVA, CAPC and the kennel clubs. Each task shows its source in the app. Pettify is not affiliated with these organizations, and the plan does not replace your veterinarian.

Can I change a task or add my own?

Yes. Change how often and at what time a task comes up, switch off the ones that don’t apply and add your own. You also choose which tasks get reminders.

What happens when my puppy grows up?

The plan starts from the birth date, so it follows your pet’s age. When your puppy grows up, the plan updates and tells you.

Can my family tick tasks off too?

Yes. Invite them by email or QR code and choose who can edit and who can only view. When someone ticks a task off, its reminder stays quiet on the other phones and the others get a notification.
