Pettify for new puppy owners
A new puppy comes with a lot to remember: a vet visit every few weeks, a vaccine series, socialization, short walks that grow with age, and the toilet. Pettify builds a care plan from your puppy’s breed and birth date, reminds you what is due and keeps the record your vet will ask about.

What new puppy owners keep track of
These come from the rules behind Pettify’s care plan for a puppy, and each one names its source. They are guidelines, not your puppy’s schedule: your vet sets the exact dates.
A vet visit every few weeks
Every 3 weeks until 4 months
AAHA’s life stage guidelines see a young puppy every three to four weeks. The care plan schedules a vet check-up every three weeks until your puppy is four months old, so the next visit is always on the list.
A vaccine series, then a booster
Series to 16 weeks, booster from 26 weeks
The WSAVA guidelines describe several core vaccine doses two to four weeks apart, the last at 16 weeks of age or older, and a booster at or after 26 weeks. The plan follows that pattern and says plainly that your vet sets the exact schedule.

Socialization, every day
Daily until 4 months
Puppies learn what is safe during their first months, and calm early experiences prevent fears later. That is why the plan adds a short socialization task every day until your puppy is four months old.
Weight, twice a month
Every 2 weeks while a puppy
A change in weight is often the first sign of a problem, and puppies change fast. The plan asks for a weigh-in every two weeks instead of once a month for as long as your dog counts as a puppy: until 9 months, 12 for large breeds and 15 for giant breeds.
Short walks that grow with age
Twice a day, 5 minutes per month of age
The Royal Kennel Club’s rule of thumb is five minutes of walking per month of age, up to twice a day, until the puppy is fully grown. A four-month-old gets about 20 minutes per walk. The plan caps it at 45 and notes that long walks overtire growing joints.
How Pettify helps

A plan that knows it’s a puppy
Enter the breed and birth date, answer a few questions, and the care plan opens on today’s tasks: feeding, walks, socialization, vaccines and more. Each task says why it matters, how to do it and which guideline it comes from. When your puppy grows up, the plan updates and tells you.
A pee and poop log, with Siri
Tap Pee or Poop in your puppy’s profile, or on the walk screen while you are out, and the entry is saved with the time. Or ask Siri, and it is saved without opening the app. The log shows counts per day, a chart and hints such as “No poop for 2 days”.

Reminders for every visit
Put the next vet visit or vaccine in the calendar, once or on repeat. Once a vaccination has a next date, Pettify reminds you 7, 3 and 1 day before it, and you can mark a reminder done or snooze it right from the notification.

Weigh-ins and papers for the vet
Log each weigh-in and see it on the weight chart. Add vet visits with the medicines prescribed at each one, attach photos or PDFs of the papers, and export one PDF report when the vet or a puppy class asks.
What Pettify doesn’t do
Better to know before you download:
It doesn’t set the vaccine schedule
The plan follows published guidelines and shows its sources, but which vaccines your puppy gets, and when, is your vet’s decision.
No reminders to take the puppy out
The pee and poop log records what happened. It doesn’t remind you when it’s time to go outside, and it has no widgets and no Apple Watch app.
No growth chart to compare with
The weight chart shows your puppy’s own numbers over time. It doesn’t say whether they are normal for the breed: that is a question for the next vet visit.
Apple devices only
Pettify runs on iPhone, iPad, Macs with Apple silicon and Apple Vision Pro. There is no Android app and no web version, so a family member with an Android phone can’t join.

Questions from new puppy owners
When does Pettify stop treating my dog as a puppy?
The care plan counts a dog as a puppy until 9 months of age, 12 months for large breeds and 15 for giant breeds, following AAHA’s life stage guidelines. When your puppy moves on, the plan updates and sends you a notification.
Does Pettify tell me which vaccines my puppy needs?
No. The plan includes vaccine tasks based on the WSAVA guidelines and shows the source of each one, but your puppy’s schedule comes from your vet. Add each shot after the visit, and Pettify keeps the record and reminds you of the next date.
Can I log toilet trips during a walk?
Yes. While a walk is running, the Pee and Poop buttons are on the walk screen too. In the profile, a long press on either button logs both at once or opens the form for the place, the stool consistency and any warning signs.
Can the whole family help with the puppy?
Yes. Invite family by email or QR code and choose who can edit and who can only view. Everyone sees the same diary and care plan, and once a task is ticked off on one phone, its reminder stays quiet on the others.
Does it work for a mixed-breed puppy?
Yes. Pettify has 88 dog breed profiles, mixed breeds included. After the breed and birth date, you answer a few questions about coat, neutering and time outdoors, and the plan updates as soon as you answer.
Is Pettify free?
The download is free, the app is not. Pettify runs on a Pettify Premium subscription: $4.99 a month, or $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial first. There is no free tier. You can cancel anytime in your App Store settings. Prices are for the US App Store and may differ in your country.
